Anyone know who is on the anti-membership committee. I have heard of things not passed by the aforementioned that are quiet anti membership building.

Who makes up the committee, as they must be very anti-membership.

In the main, it comprises of people that have; a); been on 'the' committee for the past twenty years...or more. b); Former players. c); Friends/associates of a), and sometimes b). For clarification, take a look in a previous year book, from at least ten years ago, then work backwards. Colloquially known as job for the boys or the Essex Way
Clear? ;)

Do we know how membership figures are compared to this time last year as January is the direct debit date?

You don't expect an accurate answer do you? If you're lucky you'll get a "ahead of expectations ..blah blah blah" type reply.

I believe you won't officially obtain this figure until year end? However, we should ascertain the 2013 figure, compared to 2012, in the very near future, when the 2013 Accounts are revealed?

For your information, membership volumes were down approx 4% in 2012, primarily, due to the demise of the Southend Festival?, although, our committee blamed the bad weather. How can that be the case, when the vast majority of memberships are renewed in January!

Are there real people on the committee, with names. Or is it just a figment made up by the managers to blame something for upsetting what is left of the declining membership.
