Quickly making a name for himself . Wonder if he has jumped the queue in selection in front of Mark Wood, or was it just a fluke ?
Wonder if his Middlsex team mate Steve Finn might now be struggling to get anymore test caps, especially with the Currans awaiting progression .

Finn hasn't bowled that well in quite a while.  He's quite a way off the Test team.  Woakes will be back soon and Jake Ball was ahead of Finn before he got injured as well.  Sam Curran is quite a way off Test selection I think.  He's only taken 14 CC wickets from 8 matches this year.

Tom Curran is a better bowler than brother Sam ... at the moment. Sam is the better batsman...at the moment. TRJ is a mixed bag. Sometimes he gets too floaty. Not sure he will worry the Aussies whereas Tom Curran just might.

TRJ has deserved & certainly taken his chance well, at Chelmsford the other week although he conceded plenty 9although not as many as Rayner), he maintained his accuracy & fire throughout. He has been thereabouts for some time now & most fans would say he deserved his chance, Finn is a busted flush, having had so many chances & is unlikely to get more unless about 8 seamers all get injured together!!
TRJ has the added bonus of being a decent no 8/8 batsman whereas Finn can defend but nothing much else.
