Well Indians love that sort of thing - real cricket with ball challenging the bat in proper adult-sized playing arenas is what we want.

if it's felt that no one wants to watch cricket that isn't hopelessly loaded in favour of batting then let's just call it quits and stop playing all together. Cricket must be really out of step and on its own when it comes to its relationship with the public, after all I don't see football  introducing a second ball in play with the first but worth two goals or golf being played with a superball. In motor racing they actually got more straight laced by removing the start where drivers ran to their cars which to my mind would be the best bit. Perhaps batsmen should only be allowed to pad up at the fall of a wicket and come stumbling onto the field with thigh guards and leg pads all over the place and must be ready to face their first ball whatever their state of dress. Hillarious, and sure to bring in the punters  . Only cricket has gimmicked it's self to oblivion. Is it really worth it ?

Nat, I agree totally.  Having recently watched the Indian's bat for 2.5 days for 730odd in a test match, I concur.  Indian cricket is dull as dishwater. It's all about making the crowd squeal like 10 year old girls.

The big bash is hardly any better.  Second rate bowlers from Grade cricket being spanked out of the ground.

Second India v England 20/20 showed a slow pitch with a lack of bounce gave the balance back to the fielding side . A intresting game with both sides struggling to maintain a high scoring rate, though the umpires did help with several decisions .
