WIndies 2024
« on: November 10, 2024, 08:59:35 AM »
A 2-1 defeat in the 50over format, the win was good and the defeats were poor, Cox got undone by two cross bat shots and a retro chin music delivery and now a get out of jail card with performances in NZ after Christmas to stay in the England set up.
Across to the T20 game, Pepper gets a run out has sub fielder .

Third game win for England, (in a game neither side looked like they wanted to win) gives England a series victory. Let?s hope the fringe players might now get a game, although all the first team players really need constant performances under their belts, has all have not delivered in all three games so far.
Opportunity for Pepper if picked.

Doesn't everyone want to see Salt and Pepper open for England!

Exactly! At this point the selectors are just mocking us. The series has been won, give the supporters what they want :-)

We need to Push It Real Good to ensure this happens.

Last seven games have gone to the toss, win the toss and win the game .
Perhaps time to have alternative home and away teams to start the games and only have a toss for the last game, ( if an odd number ) ,  that way series not determined by lucky captain  who keeps calling correctly.
With matches played on tight schedules and some games played on the same wicket really not time to get doctored pitches and no resevered days ?  Would it work ?

The question to ask. Is the game/series more important than an afternoon Greyhound meeting at Monmore?
