Chance of a clean sweep of victories in all six test this summer was thwarted by a batting display in the second innings with a lead, that would not do justice to a team batting in a old JPL game  on a Sunday afternoon. Swing from the hip from the word go, resulted into Sri Lanka back into the game, and apart from an innings from Smith, everyone else can hang their heads in shame.
Bazball gone made, it has a place once you gain control of the game and push on to take it away from the opposition.
Let?s hope a lesson learnt, that Pope has Captain does not need to be aggressive all  the time .

Crazy there is no place for my boy. Josh Hull is so undercooked it's ridiculous. I hope they're also taking a full medical team with all those 'sicknotes' in the squad.

I'm with you there Nat. Not happy with Woakes going after his numerous overseas failures. Josh Hull  has promise but needs to get some games under his belt. And whereas tall pacemen are essential if we're gonna win in Aus, Pakistan is a different kettle of fish
Other interesting points: No Dan (good). Jack Leach back (good).

Once you?re in the set up, harder to get out, unless you play Danball, usually seen on the golf courses of England.
