in future years even Chelmsford won't be full.

Less boozers sounds good to me if not the club.

T20 night games at the Fortress are hellish.

The crowd might generally get tanked up but a lot of them watch the game and support the team.
More than can be said about the City Boys and Girls there on a jolly up last night.

Listening to the radio whilst watching the stream, it sounded like there were more “Essex fans” in the crowd than Middlesex. You could hear a pin drop whenever Middlesex took a wicket or did anything of note. They only woke up once ABD came out.

Agreed, our away support at Lords (& The Oval ) is always very good. Certainly at Chelmsford the majority of the crowd do watch & get behind Essex, just imagine how much more they would if we had a winning team.
