does anybody know anything about dudley pope? a useful essex batsman from the 30s?his life family ect? its from a genealogy research..thanks...

Founder of Pope and Smith sport's suppliers with team mate Peter Smith.  Died not long after in a tragic car accident, when his hire car's brakes apparently failed near Writtle.

ok thank you very much.Ive been checking his records he was a fair batsman...moved from gloucestershire to essex in 1928..there were some many car accidents in the 20s and 30s cars  must have been death traps back then....
