Title: Eddie the Eagle
Post by: jimmy on February 04, 2016, 11:53:30 PM
At the risk of waking people up, I notice there is a vacancy for someone to become Eddie, looks like the last incumbent was yet another victim of Ronnie's ruthless axe.

Presumably the new Eddie will dance around with a slight limp and a Lanky accent? Or maybe Ronnie junior is next in line...

Well the main criteria should be to win the mascot race at the T20 Finals Day. I'm fed up with Eddie trailing the field.

Sadly I don't have Jessica's mobile number, otherwise...

Quite right.

Failure will not be tolerated on Big Ron's watch.

One's a figure of fun who regularly falls flat on his face.

The other is Eddie the Eagle.

I wouldn't call a long stint at Essex, followed by a large pay-off, followed by walking straight in to another role falling flat on your face. A few other things maybe...

Ever the loyal Sancho Panza to his Don Quixote.

Did you used to go regularly & tilt at that windmill in Upminster?  ;D

Seems it took us a long time to get a new Eddie. Job advertised in February, yet filled two days before the first t20!

And what's this about the female eagle. Has anyone seen her?

Why the sneering attitude from the Chronicle re "grown man" comment ? Who else other than an adult would be eligible/able to do the job? Also disapprove of them letting daylight in on magic by showing and naming the guy and talking about his predecessor, what if kids see the article and have their illusions shattered, what next, telling kids that the Father Christmas they went to see at the shopping mall is actually a guy called Gavin who spends the rest of the year selling double glazing by the tills in Homebase?
Walt Disney wouldn't stand for this as I found to my cost when I was sacked from my summer job as  Pixie or Dixie I can't remember to be honest , I always got them confused, for being seen with my head off having a quick smoke. At least my head isn't frozen in a box hehy Walt.

As for what happened to Ellie , it's a bit of a sore point. She found Eddie's stash of "Wetland Birds Weekly" mags hidden behind some loose twigs in the eerie and now she gone back to her mother's.

Jimmy, I'm not sure whether you need medical help or your own series on BBC.  ;D
