Very sad to hear this. Eastsax was, of course, as well as being its Administrator, also responsible for setting up the Essex Outfielder message board. RIP.
-
Sad news. RIP.
-
Had his 'heart in the right place'.
Had many a discussion over the relative virtues of following Essex CCC and Colchester United..............he was Essex through and through.
A lovely man.
Will be sadly missed

I'm very sorry to hear this news and if anyone is in touch with his family then please send condolences.

Sad news but from an Essex perspective he does leave behind a lasting legacy in this forum.

Indeed, especially his attempts to ensure considered dialogue...
-
Oh, what sad news. How old was Colin?
-
Never met him or knew him but he did a lot for this Forum & assisted me when I got locked out last year! RIP & farewell to a passionate Essex fan.
-
How very sad.
Had a number of friendly dialogues with him on the respective merits of Essex's football teams and festival venues !
Not only a polite, thoughtful and considerate poster but also the driving force behind establishing this forum.
Thanks and Rest In Peace.

Very sorry indeed to read the news. Condollences to his family. RIP.
A man, who, in this instance anyway, acted while others talked.
-
Very sad news, RIP.

Sorry to hear this sad news
-
Several members attended Colin's funeral , a fitting tribute to a man who wanted to ensure the website gave options and dialogue between users and the club, and hopefully that will continue , has his legacy.
Colin was 69 .
However with his passing the website is under considerable doubt, has a shortage of moderators are required for it's future running .
-
I'm happy to become a moderator as I'm sure others would be too.
-
I'm also willing to moderate - it would be sad if this website was to go.
-
I am glad that those who knew Colin were able to give him a suitable send off.
Happy to help out with anything that is needed re this forum going forward.
-
As with most regular posters on here, i'm happy to help out if asked, especially if it means the website continues.
Could we not rename one of the sections to include Eastsax?

As this topic has moved in a different direction - and an important direction for the future of this board - I've split it and moved discussion on the board's future here: http://www.essexoutfielder.co.uk/index.php/topic,751.0.html (http://www.essexoutfielder.co.uk/index.php/topic,751.0.html)
