I see that Salisbury had tidy figures amongst the carnage. Contrary to other posters I think he might make a 1XI bowler *if* Essex are patient. He looks a ready-made replacement for Masters if he can learn to do a bit more with the ball.

I also see that Darren Stevens had a bat. Must have hot footed it from Canterbury where the Kent 1XI were playing and losing!

Stevens is bang out of form.

Makes sense they would play him against any Essex side in the circumstances.
