Adam Lyth on making his debut for England becomes number 666 . Good luck to him, let's hope he scores a beast of runs in future .

Well that was the kiss of death! A one season wonder at the mo ... but hey he comes from Yooooorkshire so he must be good.
-
its looking like he fits in nicely with the rest of them.

Maybe that's the modus operandi with Grayson? ;)

If these Yorkshiremen didn't get up half an hour before they went to bed in order to get a shift in before play starts, they might do better - of in the case of one Tyke expatriate county coach if he just stayed in bed for the rest of the season...

Lyth's England number will prove a good quiz question in months and years to come, give him a chance he's got a lot of experience in LVCC 1, Hope he proves worthwhile.

Looked a better player than Root and Ballance when playing at ECG a couple of seasons ago , and scored two half centuries in the match .
A better option than Robson to open the innings with Capt Cook .
-
Should be given more time - should've been given more opportunity in the Windies to cement his place. Maybe a new outside manager may avoid these poor selection decisions.

First Yorkshiremen to score a hundred opening the innings for England at Headingly since Sir Geoffery in 1977 got his hundred hundredth .
Congrats to him, hopefully more to follow .

Didn't Bill Athey score one in the 1980s?
