Would someone from the club be able to publish the total number at the end of the season? A breakdown by category would also be nice.
-
Thanks for post, we publicise this via 2013 report and accounts. Approx 5,100 Members including circa 1,100 juniors.
Thanks

With those numbers we should be on a par with Somerset & Sussex in playing terms.
I bet Derbyshire don't even have half our membership. >:(

4K adult members is surprising, i didn't think it was as many as that.
-
It would be interesting to know how many are life members, and how many renew annually.

There you go VP. Your mission, should you choose to accept it. is to track down 250 of these 4000 and get their name on a petition.

Don't get too excited ...I'm unsure whether they have given a figure for 2012 (quoted in 2013 accounts) or a figure for the end of the 2013 season as I requested.

Does anybody know how many members we have lost since the demise of the Southend Festival? I personally know quite a few who didn't renew in protest!!!!!!

I feel sure I read , or heard officially, that those Members not renewing from the Southend area was 30.

That number appears very low, however, what I can't understand is that in 2012 the committee stated that numbers were significantly down due to the poor weather. How can that be the case when the vast majority of members renew in January!!!!! I'm sure the Southend factor played a key role?

Perhaps Starfish can give us the reason for withholding the start times for the one day 50 over matches. Or is it that us plebs are not allowed to know in advance.
-
Thanks for post,
Wish we could, ECB rules prohibit us from doing that. However, they will be day/night games, you maybe able to guess a time!
Rest assured when we know, you will know, thanks

If Essex continue in their rich vein of form the old gag about "what time can you get here?" may finally come to pass.

I can understand 50ov Day / Night games if on Sky, but if not on Sky, why not an earlier start (ie 11am) for at least one game and then you could measure the atttendance to see the most popular start time, for future seasons.

Its not arrival time, but ending time for the travelling home. If it's too late then membership will be given a miss, as T20s only on Friday is a bit difficult.
