Jordan Cox is let out by England.
Harmer, Akhter, Allison, Benkenstein, Bennett, Cook, Cox, Critchley, Das, Fernandes, Jones, Pepper, Snater, Thain, Walter

If we bat first then I would hope that the batting line up would look like this.
Walter
Pepper
Cox
Allison
Benkenstein
Harmer
Snater
Critchley
Akhter
Cook
Jones
Harmer is having his best season in red and white ball with the bat and needs to bat higher as does Snater, who for some reason is never used to his batting potential.

Worth a go. They should definitely be flexible with the batting lineup and after Harmer's innings in the last game, he could easily go above Critchley.

Middlesex won the toss and put Essex in:
Pepper, Walter, Cox, Allison, Benkenstein, Critchley, Harmer, Snater, Akhter, Jones, Cook

Remarkable recovery from the depths of 69-8, although probably still not enough. Would be interesting to know if Harmer has been working on some specific aspect of his batting - whatever the reason, he's in the form of his life.

At the same time his bowling has declined.
