Can anyone update on this? I wouldn't expect the Club to provide any detail or information, based on their track record of 'delivery' openness or indeed honesty thus far.
It appears no lessons have been learnt from this embarrassing fiasco the first time around.
I happened across this article: https://www.cricketworld.com/exciting-progress-in-ground-redevelopment-plans/10033.htm, but it seems to represent exactly what was being promised in 2008! It makes reference to 'development partner MCD', but a quick search there brings up this: http://www.mcdproperty.com/eccc-essex/ Where apparently 'phase one completed'. ;)

Did not the latest revised plan have a hotel included ? So therefore have to apply for new planning permission. Let?s not forget money grants usually also have time limits for availability, so lots of procedures to follow .

Originally, there was to be student accommodation. Now higher education is being cut. The next step is to change to a Hotel.
I would doubt that the Hoteliers of Chelmsford. Will be putting their brown trousers on, anytime soon.

John Lever, the club president. Will be on round the wicket, talking about a subject that he is an unsung hero of. That is ground developments.
