Not sure why they retained  Das for another  year. Has not progressed and is very inconsistent.
Will go and see the seconds  at Colchester later this month.

A very poor performance. They should use a recently retired 1XI player (e.g. Browne) to captain/mentor the team rather than encumber one of the younger players.

It used to be that a first XI player, whose time was coming to an end. Would be the Captain and coach of the 2nd XI. Ray East, in his autobiography. Mentioned that he would only be playing for the first XI, in an emergency. It turned out, that he made a number of one day appearances.

  Pettini was mentoring players in the seconds last season, is that not the case this season .

Denness skippered the Stiffs in his later seasons as did Fletch
