This is just the Essex bit.
With the focus on the redevelopment of Chelmsford, Essex have been preoccupied with assessing what the ground needs to enhance its capabilities on matchdays and non-matchdays.
Consequently, they haven't had any need, yet, to call on any additional funds from The Hundred pool. Chief executive Dan Feist is satisfied with the process and told The Cricketer some counties are only now starting to appreciate that the money from the sale of the stakes belongs to the ECB.
"It is ring-fenced for us to apply, but it is still the ECB's legally," he said. "It was made clear. People are in such a situation that they saw a funding opportunity, and they needed to react to it."
Meanwhile, as Essex's plans accelerate, there is a sense that they will require some of the available cash later this year to ensure they can move swiftly from planning into the development stage.

It is amazing that Consultants are breeding like Rabbits. However, none of them have any clients.

Just get out the original brochure on the development which got snowballed.

In my diary to check- in the unlikely event that I'm still around in 2036. But I suspect you may not be far from the mark, although I'm confident that the toilets will have been upgraded by then.
