Title: Members forum Thursday 27 March
Post by: mawallace on March 23, 2025, 04:09:44 PM
I see there is a members forum at 6pm, on Thursday, on Zoom only.

Is it me or is the notice period for forums getting shorter.

And having been told they can't be on Zoom, now it's zoom only

Goes around in a circle, no zoom, zoom and then on home game day.
Previous response with last CEO stated that zoom facility was very expensive, so having forums on different platforms reduces costs and different opportunities for the members. Members have their preferences, zoom popular for those who cannot attend .

The small scoreboard already has a name. It is the Wilfred Hoy scoreboard. As he was fairly young when he died in 1984, there are still a few members who knew him around.

I don't understand the above that clearly. Rem o/s does it mean we have gone for an alternative but they are on a A tour and thus there will be no replacement?

Or was that just one of the irons in the fire? If the former then may as well write the season off already.

Surely we are not back to the bad old days of having no one else lined up should players drop out?? And I mean at least 3 options. Everyone else is managing to do it.

3-39 in the first inns, 0-50 off 11 overs in the 2nd but by then South Australia were on the last lap to their first Shield win in 26 years. Steketee apparently bowled well for Queensland, which is more than he did for us in his short visit a few years ago
