according to the fixtures the seconds were due to play surrey this week.
is this game being played or what !!

eh? Of course it's being played. Essex/Kent vs Slurry at Billericay. Don't expect to hear about it on the club website though.

I've since discovered, on a link from "Everything Essex Cricket" on Facebook, that a combined Essex/Kent side beat Surrey, in a Championship Game, in two days. Both sides got 3 bowling bonus points, Richards took 8 wickets.
