Guess a link will be released regards news from AGM .
No answers to all the usual, except update that Chelmsford or Another site now only possible for the future of the club.
If future franchise requirements require 10k seating, Chelmsford totally inadequate and also no other alternative financial revenues.
Only solid answer was the club to be a members club.
Both ends of ground to be renamed the Graham Gooch and Sir Alaister Cook ends.
CEO was asked if he personally know of the racism, while a player, but was rebuffed quickly by the Chairman.
Club now awaiting fine or points deduction or both from ECB now the Newton report published.
No reply regards streaming live games, but considering no more extra money to be forward from ECB, get ready for the proverbial pay wall.
Club App has not been working and new website to be available next year, hopefully with a link to members committee who at present seem has remote has ever.
Darren Sams to return for T20.

Legal costs now stand at ?760 000 with report costing ?600 000 of that.

No extra money coming from ECB in the next 5 years, and uncertainty about the Hundred at the moment.
I notice that whenever the Hundred is discussed John Stephenson never declares an interest, being a Director of London Spirit.
When asked if the Open Ground policy would be reviewed ( as promised) Stephenson, brushed it off, said he personally liked it, and therefore it looks like it's here to stay. His point that the Shop has benefited from it is rubbish. I have it on good authority, there has been no noticeable difference in sales.
I have no strong objections against it except, the Members Only part of Hayes Close end, should be reinstated, ( it still allows full open ground access) and not open to the public.
New away team dressing room should be available for the start of the season.

I noticed the Chairman ( questionable nomenclature these days) actually said the word 'batsman' surely evidence of deep seated uneradicable misogeny and should today fall on his sword or at least be subject to immediate equalities training. Who is he anyway and who elected him?

Legalised theft in plain sight.

I warned you that JS was an ECB stooge.

A mortal sin!
Name me one player in Essex CCC who is a 'batswoman' or 'batsperson' - none. So absolutely no reason to call them anything else. At the risk of being repetitive, batter is something you put on fish before frying, or make Yorkshire puddings with.

Isn't the whole point of naming an end supposed to be paying tribute to a bowler?
Clearly don't want to spend money on a statue for the Chef.
Anyway, sounds like a depressing meeting all-round. God help us.

I've asked about voting numbers, why the Open Ground wasn't discussed given the whole question wasn't read out and why members [it's a members club] won't be allowed a vote on any Hundred expansion.
I also noted the comment about a move 'I suppose members will need to vote' .... hmmm
-
Let's be clear....if members want a vote then they will get a vote. There is a well established process for ensuring the Board reflect members' wishes.

A public whipping shown live on Instagram (not Facebook or X) should suffice.

The more I see of John Stephenson, the less I trust him.

Bit like that Oscar Pistorious fella.
