Title: Shane Snater
Post by: nat on May 23, 2022, 06:02:44 PM
is not a T20 bowler.  However, he could fill a role in the top 6 batsmen. I'd try him at no.3 or 4 when the fielders are in the ring.

Careful now, you’ll incur the wrath of some erstwhile posters…

I did wonder myself if we may look to use him as a pinch hitter up the top.  We will have a few bowling options in our team so why not.  He has all the shots, selection may be a bit iffy but risk and reward and all that.

No need, Buttleman and Rossington will do the job at the top of the order, and I expect Pepper to kick on in white ball cricket.

Get with the times. In modern day T20 you hit the ball from the start, no consolidation when you lose a wicket, you line up your entire top six with hitters and maximise the powerplay. Sensible suggestion from Nat, which is why it won’t happen.

Buttleman is crap, the only job he’ll be doing is warming the dugout after another early dismissal.

Very surprised that Snater is not in the latest Netherlands squad to play West Indies.

Maybe he wants to take U.K. citizenship?
