I'm given to under stand that one of the club's sponsors, IQONIQ, is in financial trouble. Should we be concerned?

The 7IM deal recently ended too. I suspect the policy of signing up the existing squad longer term, rather than dipping into the transfer market (apart from Critchley) signifies a degree of financial prudence. The county has no debt, unlike many others. A legacy from the Peter Edwards era I suspect.

Not seen this. Where is the news?

I saw it on twitter a week or two back
A dialogue between Essex thanking 7IM and a response from them

I didn't read that as the end of their sponsorship. Maybe I'm wrong.

I can't see them listed on the website: https://www.essexcricket.org.uk/commercial/sponsors-partners/

IQONIQ are in liquidation. They are registered in Monaco and sneakily made the announcement there on Christmas Eve. Anyone who has bought one of their tokens has something that is worthless.
In the old days with a fake currency system, if you were wiped out you could remove the gold foil and eat the chocolate.

There is a member who is now retired from one of the sponsors. He held a Junior position, he did have a Senior position but told me that following a big Boo-Boo he was demoted and was lucky to be offered that.
