Dan, as previously requested, can you please explain why in the 'Essex Cricketer' magazine
( page 27 ), it quotes, for the T20 game at Colchester, Juniors ( Public) are being charged
£15.00 for a seat, whilst Junior Members are being charged £18.00? Also, why are these
prices, 3 times what most other counties are charging?

Thanks for post, as mentioned elsewhere (I think) that is not 100% clear in the form I admit (no hiding from that). A Member can buy a junior unreserved ticket for £11 at Chelmsford and Colchester of £13 for reserved seat.
Whilst some counties are cheaper, others are dearer. We believe that ticket price along with an exceptionally cheap Membership price for Junior / Teen Eagles encourages children to attend (average 900 children per T20 game, so 20% of crowd). That is up there as the highest percentage in the game, but we always want more whilst ensuring we make cricket available for everyone, of every age. Would love to have a ground full of children, we have circa 1,000 Members to accommodate, 900 plus children, the paying public etc. We don't and never will take for granted a sell out
Plus HUGE added value in 2014 with free gift, free top trump cards, discount vouchers, chance to meet players, Junior / Teen Eagle open days, birthday card and message from team, free guest tickets, chance to win player appearance in school, etc, etc
We are placing a HUGE emphasis to encourage children to attend in numbers and to come back throughout 2014 in all game formats. We also have £1 entrance for the Chelmsford Festival LV= game plus loads of exclusive ticket prices and offers for 50 over etc.
Thanks, Danny

Many thanks Danny for your prompt & comprehensive reply......To clarify, Junior members will be charged £13.00 for all T20 games ( with a reserved seat )? The reason I'm seeking confirmation is because the magazine definitely quotes £18.00 for both Chelmsford & Colchester!

Yes, magazine is wrong, to 100% clarify for Members:
All unreserved / grass area (only at Chelmsford) £11
Juniors / Teens £11
Reserved seats £7 extra or £2 extra (so £13 in total) for Juniors / Teens.
Thanks, Danny

I phoned the membership office today (2/1/13) and was told there is no unreserved seating (£11 per ticket) for the T/20 at Colchester and it will cost me £18 (+£2 booking fee?) if I want a ticket.
Please can you confirm if this is correct and that all seating for members will have to be at the reserved price?

Thanks for post
To 100% clarify - we have made 1,000 tickets available to Members for the Colchester NatWest T20 Blast game. Based on past T20 games this will meet demand.
Members can opt to select an £11 ticket and locate themselves within the Members area (located in front of the Pavilion area). Or opt to pay an additional £7 (£18 in total) to sit within a specific seat. We are finalising ground maps and plans for Chelmsford and Colchester as we speak.
Rest assured there will be adequate space for Members reserved seats or the £11 option.
More details will be confirmed next week, any queries please do shout, thanks, Danny

Thanks Danny.
I'll wait until the Colchester details are finalised.
