Congratulations to former Essex bowler Tymal Mills who has taken his first England ODI wicket . Would he be the first player to retire having taken more England 20/20 wickets than Test ( the only format he now plays ) ?

Interesting development. Although we all know T20 is not 'proper cricket' :P

No, Chris Schofield didn't take a Test wicket but did take 4 T20 wickets. Michael Yardy is another one that springs to mind. There's guys like Parry and Briggs who will never play Test Cricket either.

Ty was quality today. Great work by the lad and good luck to him.

What does he do between matches, think he last played in August ?

He's actually been playing a lot. He's played in the Bangladesh T20 Competition, the NZ T20 Competiton and a couple of games in the Aussie Big Bash since the English season ended.

In the words of @FredBoycott ...Not proper cricket

So he is not the first , and will not be the last . Thanks Jason.

It may not be proper cricket, however there is an audience and a requirement for players. I'm pleased the lad is able to compete and do it well, given he nearly had to pack up.
