Must be England's finest win in the modern era of test cricket .
Firstly without DRS would never had achieved two hundred without referrals . Good judgement while fielding (also having taking the new ball and getting a top up on the last morning ) in both innings, eventually gave England a win by the finest of margins , fittingly with two referrals on the last morning in taking the final two wickets.
DRS , that will do nicely .

Wonder if a form of DRS will ever come into county cricket. There was some talk of a slimmed down version a while ago

Better umpires is the answer.
At club level the training course/exam does not check an umpire's health at all (eyesight, hearing etc.). No wonder you see many decrepit umpires with barely a measurable pulse.

The media were a touch unfair on Dharmasena. Several of his "reversals" were of decisions that most people would have given without DRS. In 2005 at Trent Bridge v the Aussies Aleem Dar had a shocker (and that was pre DRS so they couldn't be corrected( yet he is still one of the best umpires, showing that umpires like players can have off days. And Dharmasena did get that last lbw decision right-someone whose confidence had been undermined would have taken the easy option and said not out, since that sort of lbw decision is the umpiring equivalent of the reverse sweep for a batsman.

Without DRS, and the managing of it, England would have undoubtedly lost their first test against Bangladesh, instead of a test victory .
Luck or good judgment, technology has played a major part in the result .
How long before umpires will be no longer required in future ?
