Post by: bwildered on May 11, 2016, 07:36:00 PM
The voice of Carribean cricket, legendary commentator Tony Crozier passed away.  Will be sadly missed  by all who listen to his radio work, and insight to Windies cricket .

RIP Mr. Cozier,

Now to the great Test match commentary box in the heavens, alongside Richie and Tony Greig.

RIP Mr. Cozier,

Now to the great Test match commentary box in the heavens, alongside Richie and Tony Greig.

And the all-time great John Arlott. (Whom as a lad I was privileged to meet at a talk he gave. In Romford library, strangely. Lovely man.)

Tony Cozier's best piece of commentary was saying nothing at all when Johnners and Aggers corpsed live on air. A few modern commentators might like to follow the same principle.

My favourite overseas TMS commentator since I first listened in 1972.

Quite a few TMS stalwarts now gone - Arlott, Johnston, CMJ, McGilvray along with Trueman and Bailey.
