T20 - 2024
« on: October 16, 2024, 09:52:59 AM »
Number two team in the world, so should have been a regulation top of the table group winners and avoid the Aussies until the final . Yet another must win game lost.
Every home series they comfortably win, but come the world competition stage, yet again under perform.
So has Englands progression has a top cricket nation stalled, considering they have become professional.
England women cricket is a wash  with Sky / Franchise money that was never there before and also only playing white ball, surely semi finals should be a standard. Or am I being too cynical in this recent performance.
Ashes down under on the horizon, can they at least do better than the men?s recent failures there.

Shock horror, the Aussies have been defeated.
A deserved win for South Africa, who now play the winners from NZ or WI in an unexpected final.
A Ashes tour down under is hard enough, but now even more tough for England now.
