Cleaned Up.

Congratulations to Ajaz Patel, who has completed a complete strike of all ten wickets for New Zealand in India. A remarkable performance 10-119. Can he match or better a Laker 19 ?

As New Zealand are 38-6 at tea, there may not be a second innings to try and beat Jim Laker.

There might be a record of most wickets in an innings on the losing side.

62 all out. Strange match, a 150 a 50 and not much else. Bit of a Bunsen in Mumbai?

A bit of a different result to when he played a couple of games for Yorkshire a couple of years ago.

Thanks JP , seems a bit ironic now that he played a few games for ….Yorkshire.
Sadly only took four wickets in the second innings to give him fourteen for match.
All seventeen wickets taken by the Kiwis in the test had the surname of Patel and Ravindra, it’s strange, should I be surprised or just shows just what a global game cricket is now played in ?

It merely reflects the very loose eligibility rules used for determining for what country you can play. New Zealand attract a lot from South Africa and elsewhere it seems.

I think Patel’s parents emigrated to NZ when he was quite young. IIRC there are several similar cases in UK.

Exactly. People move around the world. Despite the best of the Daily Mail.

I’d just like to point out I wasn’t referring to Nat in my marital bliss statement. In case there was any misinterpretation…now, off to my cheese and wine business meeting…
