Terminology
« on: July 21, 2021, 09:43:54 AM »
I was following Essex's one day game on the BBC sports website yesterday. When you click on the scorecard they have removed "Batting" and they are now referred to as "Batters". They had also made the change to England T20 scorecard. Looks like the BBC have decided to make the change to all formats of the game.

Going to be interesting to see what terminology they use for the test match!!!!

Batters are what you have with roast beef.

"Batters"  seems a suitable description for the people making these changes.

Cricinfo are doing the same thing. Another victory for the mindless woke brigade.
