Wow!! What a match and what a result after the poor 1st innings total of 96. You can never count Essex out!

During this match Sam Cook reached 100 First Class wickets for Essex when he had Alex Lees caught by Adam Wheater in the first innings. He also equalled his best First Class score of 37

Ben Allison set a new personal best Championship and First Class batting score when he increased the previous best score from 13 to 52 with his maiden First Class 50.
Paul Walter increased his Championship personal best score from 47 and his First Class personal best score from 68* to 77
