I favour the Holding Willey Receptacle.
I'd vote for that as well

Anderson and Archer in for Sam Curran and Zak Crawley. Didn't see that coming, I thought if they were going for an extra seamer they'd drop BEss.

I presume Root will bat at 3. Who'll bat at 6?

Swing conditions, we've been put in. I am nervous.

I should have realized that Stokes may not be able to bowl.
Still, I'm surprised by the selection, our batting lineup looks a bit iffy, I'd be much happier with Flakes in for Buttler, the former looks much more like a number 6 than the latter.

Interesting Windies se!ecting a specialist spinner, who is already getting some turn. And they've taken a big risk with Gabriel, he does not look for at all.

Flakes?  Given the performance this morning that should apply to the whole lower order.

Sloppy first hour on Saturday and now Sunday for England. However the dropped Broad is making a point with 60 and 6 wickets have kept the pressure on. With the weather forecast not good for 4th day Monday would have been intresting if the follow on would have been enforced if they had the option.
If the run rate is good, might squeeze half hour at them tonight if light is OK.

Pleasant but cool, not sure they’ll get an extra half hour.

Great third test win for England by colossal 269 runs and with fourth day completely rained off. Special  game for Broad, 500 test wickets , ten for and sixty runs . Good turn around from being one down, good win for Silverwood has coach .

Great bowling by Broad & Woakes.  There will be some difficult choices for the selectors for the Pakistan Test.

And a BIG Thank You to the West Indies for coming. You may have lost the series, but you made a lot of friends.

Turned out the weather was poor later today, so fortunately our bowlers were on the mark and their bats wanted to go home.

Broad has his faults, but I think he and the other seamers have done their jobs (albeit in helpful conditions).  You don't take 500 wickets without hard work and talent.  I suspect he needs a KITA occasionally and got into the habit of 'turning up' for one match in 3.

Seemingly the lockdown break has really benefitted our seamers - perhaps they should keep that in mind before going off to the IPL/Franchise tournaments (when they eventually restart).

I'd second that.  They could do with their bats spending sometime in English conditions.

A great result for Eng, full credit to WI for coming over here in the current Covid climate, they are a reasonable bowling unit but sadly the batting is relatively weak with no standout players although the likes of Hope, Brooks, Hetmyer, who didn't tour, & Blackwood clearly have ability. If they can improve then WI have a chance to do better, big plus also to Jason Holder - a thoroughly decent man & good Captain.
