Essex crowdfunding appeal

I am surprised that no one has yet commented on the Essex appeal for funds just launched. It seems to me to be at odds with the recent comments by the Chairman when he stated that "all was well economically" and that Essex could ride this storm. Has something else happened? Some clarification from the club would be helpful.

Well a target of £15k is not going to make any difference. Might just pay for Ronnie's cigars. Very odd.

I see no reason for the club not to do it, every little helps.  If people want to donate, good on them, if they do not, then dont, no need for the silly comment

Think the crowdfunding idea has come from the members forum when somebody  ask if they could donate/ contribute in a small way to equipment or items required for the running of the club at some level. This appeal gives the opportunity for those to do so .

If you don't care about Essex surviving then I have to question why you want to post on this website.
