This article is preaching to the converted as far as the members of this forum are concerned but still worth a read.

Thanks for this reference Mr Exile. Especially meaningful is the sentence about the ECB behaving

"like the rogue dictator of a central African state. "

And what do we read in today's "Times"? Mr Graves is trying to get his term of office extended by changing the ECB constitution. In other words, "like a rogue dictator....."

You couldn't make it up, as we have said many times here before.

I think comparing Graves with the likes of Mugabe or Idi Amin is unfair, for the latter or the former????

Steve made an interesting comment this morning: having the Lancs v Essex match at a ground some distance away from either participants' home has some similarities to the plans for The Hundred.  Of course, most matches, other than quarter finals (if they have such things) won't be 300 miles from one of the participant's home ground, but the Lancs supporters' journey may be similar to the distances some supporters would have to travel even to home matches.  It is also at short notice, which won't apply to The Hundred (except quarter finals or similar), but on the other hand it is between two established teams with long-established fan-bases, unlike The Hundred.  But it will be interesting to see how many are in the ground.
