The Surrey commentators said the other day that the Surrey franchise was to be called "Surrey Greats". They were underwhelmed at the news.

That'll encourage the Kent supporters to attend.

And indeed Essex supporters. The Oval seems to me to be easier to get to than Lord's from my part of the world so if I were to go to one of these fixtures (which I can't think I would) it would be there rather than Lord's.

You sure they didn't say Surrey grates?

Has anyone heard anymore as to whether a ladies team will based at Chelmsford?

Heard nothing since the member's forum and AGM where it was mentioned that outgrounds might be used for our 50 over game due to the fact that they were 'hoping' to host the women's team at Chelmsford

I reckon Leyton might get a game. And Castle Park. Wouldn't it be nice if the club consulted the members?

I think Surrey Greats is a touch pretentious, if I were a Kent fan I would not watch under that name, surely they can come up with a name that satisfies all parties? Also keep the ECB out of any name disputes as they'll only make things worse!
