Snater again showing that he can hit the ball a long way - this is his third big score coming in down the order. Potentially a useful all-rounder.

Currently 83 not out, x4 6s

He's playing for Kent today, along with James Harris, against Pakistan as "a guest player" as Kent have a few injuries.

40 no balls in Essex 1st innings, 30 no balls in Kent 1st innings, Zero no balls in Kent's 2nd innings. Did they change the umpires or remark the creases?

Back in the 1970s my mate worked in Tesco in Braintree. He reckoned the Craddocks were often in there, and there was usually plenty of booze in Johnny's trolley.

Cradock, Cradock. She was from Leytonstone, born not far from the ECCC practice ground.

Craddock used to play for us - bowled leggies.  Was it Fanny or Johnny or Tom?

Didn't pull up any trees.

Still one of the better signings of the he who must not be named era.

I always felt Tom Craddock didn't get a fair chance with us, to think Monty got preference!!

Agree on Tom C. I recall him batting very sensibly, I think on debut, in a game at Garon Park.

The only reason Monty was signed in the first place was that Craddock missed the last 6 weeks of the 2013 season for personal reasons.

Looks like we are doing well today - 9 Kent bowlers used so far.

We are currently 382 for 2 - Chopra 220 no (207 balls) and Khushi 107 no (143 balls).

We closed on 521-4,  Chopra 267, Kushi 154*. A very weak Kent attack apart from Podmore. Browne still looked out of nick, not surprisingly.

Only a Friendly but a win by 575 runs must be up there as one of their biggest ever wins.
Interesting that Buttleman was keeper in the first innings  and Pepper in the second.
Hope they are not doing a Shilton / Clemence "take it in turns" rota.
Decide on the best keeper, and let them keep full time.
