Just checked the score the number of extras can't be right surely!  49 and not even lunch on day 1. Must be in line for some kind of record!

Snater again showing that he can hit the ball a long way - this is his third big score coming in down the order. Potentially a useful all-rounder.

Currently 83 not out, x4 6s

Well he's doing better than Coles.

Where's Nick Browne disappeared to?  Is he injured as well?

There was a comment on the unofficial Essex fans FB page that he hurt his ankle warming up for the second eleven last week.

Doughnut?
Reminds me of the time cookery presenter Johnny Craddock looked into the camera, and said " may all you doughnuts turn out like Fanny's".

Back in the 1970s my mate worked in Tesco in Braintree. He reckoned the Craddocks were often in there, and there was usually plenty of booze in Johnny's trolley.

Cradock, Cradock. She was from Leytonstone, born not far from the ECCC practice ground.

An advanced state of inebriation was the only way to survive marriage to Fanny I reckon.

Getting back to the beginning of the thread. Kent had three wicket keepers in their first team squad at Bristol so it appeared a rookie wicketkeeper was at Tunbridge Wells (not sure but I think another player out of their twelve may have kept pm). However Kent bowled badly in the morning, spraying it everywhere and the wicketkeeper had no chance in stopping some of the wide deliveries. Yes Snater did bat exceptionally well
