Well, given the unexpected vote on Brexit, Trump's election victory, the polls seemingly turning in Corbyn's direction and the possible lifting of a certain restraining order... :-[

Nowadays we should expect the unexpected. Strong and stable.

You sound like a Corbyn-ite. They haven't won ... yet and Corbyn/Labour didn't win the election contrary to the Labour-ite view of mathematics.

I've been trying to think of a suitable sporting metaphor for the events of Thursday/Friday, but I remember Nasser Hussain saying how ones 'stock' as an England player rose the longer one was scoring runs and the national team was struggling. I guess JC has benefitted from this and may well continue to do so. No one can deny that Terry May and her boys "got one hell of a beating".

I'm glad Bangladesh are doing well. Seemed like all of Tower Hamlets were there to greet them at The Oval last Monday. Including tigers of the stuffed variety.

Hmmm.... how many of them hold a UK passport, were born in the UK, went to school in the UK, work in the UK, pay their taxes in the UK ...?

Why can't England do an India and produce a pitch to favour the home team.  Another couple of years wait to finally win a global 50 over tournament.  if we don't win that one I guess we never will win one given our domestic 50 over game is scheduled to become a 2nd eleven tournament.

Because the pitches are prepared by the ICC not the home county groundsmen

ICC Rules for the competition prevent the use of new pitches for the semi-finals. Loaded in favour of teams from the sub-continent. India Rules OK.

The ICC should look at the whole thing.

It was reported that at least 35 per cent of tickets have been bought by Indians. Bit odd given its in the UK. The number of tickets on sale via third party sites is high, yet the official line is that they will only let you use their website.

I tried to get tickets to some of their matches. The website will often say tickets are available while you then select one or two tickets to buy the system says that none are available, yet when you look at the ground on TV there's loads of no shows! Bizarre!

So we are now left with a money spinning India v Pakistan (unless there's a upset today). I smell a scandal
