Natwest Blast more popular than FA Cup
« on: March 05, 2017, 10:45:20 AM »
Reported in today's Sunday Telegraph. The Yougov 2016 sport index placed the Nat west blast above the FA cup in popularity. The blast comes in at 7th with international cricket 8th.

After a search I could not find the full list online.

How does this affect the franchise project?

There was an article on Cricinfo on it yesterday
http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cricket-2017/content/story/1085243.html

The 2016 Olympics was rated as the top event, with the Paralympics third and the Six Nations fourth. Wimbledon (tennis) was second with the Tour de France rated fifth. The Premier League (football) was rated sixth with the NatWest Blast in seventh position. Test cricket was ranked eighth. The NatWest Blast competition was ranked 21st in the previous year

You can always tell a yorkshireman ... you just can't tell him much.

He's not from Yorkshire. Eccles. The place, not the character.

Simon Heffer has an article on this in the Telegraph sports section today.  Not a lover of 20-20 cricket at the best of times.

The originator of the term 'Essex Man'. Awful snob, but good taste in cricket teams/formats.
