Did he speak with aplomb? 😎😎

Found this which may "sort of" explain it

Dixon must be in the squad for his drinks carrying ability.

I agree that Chopra and Lawrence doesn't inspire huge confidence, especially when compared to our opponents on Friday who will have two sloggers in Finch and Roy. I'd also be tempted to go left field with an opener except my shout would be Zaidi. He's not afraid to charge quick bowlers and I think he'd do well in the powerplay, at least keep us at 10 an over. Although he could be similar to Ryder in that he'll only come off once out of ten knocks and we need better than that. We only really have two "sloggers" in the team which might hurt us in the competition with "par scores" getting higher and higher by the year.

Another question I have about our T20 lineup is whether Harmer should play? I'm sure he will as he's a fantastic fielder not to mention he's in the form of his life. However he's taken some clatter in the limited overs stuff, not having a "wrongun" delivery leaves him vulnerable to being slogged if you're the opposition. I'd be tempted to just have Zaidi as a spinner and play another specialist batsman instead.

If we lose a few early games I wouldn't be surprised if we sacked it off this season and started resting players in preparation for the Championship run in, maybe give the likes of Callum Taylor a run in the team.

I was thinking that myself.  Zaidi, Lawrence and Westley between them did well last year and we don't really need another spinner for this year.  As you say he will play though.

...meanwhile Sam Cook continues to take wickets in the 2XI and with a good T20 economy rate.
