Incorrect. According to ESPN Cricinfo DK flatly denied he'd signed (not necessarily a good indicator). 

Apparently, there's a Facebook page for this ICL (which I would suspect is still trademarked from the pre-2008 experiment) so if there's Fb page, it must be true...

There's plenty of other 'legit' T20 tournaments around at that time. Sounds like a piece of fantasy. As I've said to Claire Balding, dream on...

Considering the organisers intend to host the ICL in Dubai, the Emirates Cricket Board would be the home board. The head of the ECB, David East, said he had not yet heard from the organisers. "I have had not approach whatsoever," East said. "We have heard that players have been approached, but no one has come to see me."

Oh the irony.

I presume a lot of retirement flats have gone up in Dubai recently...

Yes. Apparently all the fuss is about a very poor quality cricket computer simulation. Reminds me of when I hacked into a similar program on my Spectrum - ECCC used to rack up thousands of runs. All except Micklebrough, for some unknown reason only lasted 5 balls...

legside lizzie/elizabeth annon who regurgitated this story and put her name on it in the times, denied it was her story at all when presented with ravi's response on twitter. she summarily banned anyone who pointed this out to her or suggested if it wasn't her story she shouldn't have put her name to it in the times.

terrible journalism and terrible reaction from her, despite it being a reputation damaging story to the players in question.
