Why? Because of concerns over the attention span of spectators. Bring on 10/10.

Tbh if there are only 8 teams and they are trying to condense tye competition into a block having one semi seems to be sensible.
I  think to put it down to attention spans is somewhat bad thinking

With only 8 teams it makes sense for the top team to automatically qualify for the Final.
But the one semi final is really a play off  game  for the winner to reach the Final.
No problem with that  but  I don't really care....because I won't be watching.
