Title: Sussex Game
Post by: squarelegumpire on June 13, 2015, 04:08:12 AM
I've only seen a scorecard and thus the result as a whole, but it looks a really good effort. I see that we second in the table, too, although we've played a couple more games than others.

Have some of us cried before we were really hurt? Is there light upon the horizon?

Well if we have the opposite of last year and come in to form towards the end of the group stage ready for the quarters then I won't be complaining.

Nice to see Pettini make a contribution in the last two games.  Didn't realise he had been  injured for the Surrey game so thought he had been dropped for Cook.

How come we have played so many more games than everyone else? All the teams can overtake us if they win their games in hand, which of course is mathematically impossible. I'd say we are probably fifth or sixth once that is taken into account. In with a shout but can't afford too many slip ups.

A fantastic night out.
Only one team in it.
And Mills will not be missed.

A great result at a difficult place to win at, 2 wins this coming week would be good.If we do then Hampshire will be the crucial game, perhaps we can finally beat them in a T20 match.

Our best performance of the season.
Bowling and fielding very disciplined.......no dropped catches!
Good to have Tom Westley back at his best after facing a few hostile balls from a highly pumped Tymal.
Mark Pettini has had a huge impact on return too.
A well timed run to winning a trophy?
(Team is good enough........believe!)
