Title: Gloucs T20
Post by: IlfordEagle on June 12, 2015, 09:21:47 AM
So that's 2 wins in a row & another tonight can see us back in the mix, we looked more like how we can be & hopefully this will rub off in LVCC. Great to see Pettini get some runs last night & get them well, yet again we fell away badly after a great start, one or two questionable decisions ie Ravi's LBW & Tendo's run out but it didn't affect the outcome. Good bowling all round & they did well to keep Klinger off strike as much as they could - BTW his innings was superb & got a richly deserved ovation from the crowd, he didn't deserve to be on the losing side.
A little worrying that again the ground was nowhere near full on a decent evening weatherwise, one small point re the annoucements, some of which are made too often, why no mention of our LVCC match v Derby starting Sunday? A good opportunity to publicise it was missed, doesn't really surprise me though as most who were there last night won't be on Sunday!!
Well done to the team, Keep it up, COYE!!

I reckon the club need to look at lower admission prices for non Friday night games. Make it £15 and you'd fill the ground. I could have taken my lad to the Oval for £25 for the two of us last Friday night including a guaranteed seat. We decided not to go in the end but with my annual rail card to London it would have been cheaper to do that than two reserved seats as members for a home game.

Well if they continue to not sell out the non Friday games then the pricing will have to be reviewed.

It is alright quoting supply and demand when the tickets are selling but need to be reduced when they are not.

Didn't they end up virtually giving them away a couple of years back?

Sussex game if I remember rightly.

Apparently tickets are selling well for Glamorgan - read into that what you will & Hants is virtually sold out - we'll see on the night how many empty seats there are!!
