Middx have been dire at t20 for several years now - rock bottom last year I think, not so far off that the year before and this year 6 defeats from 6 as you say Sticky.  Luckily we play them twice unlike the almost as hapless Sussex who we only play once this season - seems a bit unfair we only play them once and other sides get to potentially beat them twice?!

yes we were talking about that the other day. Each team doesn't play 2 of the others twice. We lose Sussex and Somerset. Could have done with missing Hampshire. As you say on the plus side at least we have got Middx twice!

Is next season the reverse of this ie do we play Sussex away & Somerset at home or is it a different 2 Counties we only play once? It would be silly if we only had, say, Sorry, Kent or Middlesex once due to proximity & the effect on gates especially as so many of our supporters go to Lords & The Oval.
Mind you I seem to recall a few years earlier when we only had both Middlesex & Sorry once in the Group - stupid!!

i suppose the sensible thing would be to play 16 games rather than 14 to play everyone twice, i am sure Essex would like the extra home game to promote!

and rightly so seeing as we are clearly a decent side for this format and bloody clueless in the LVCC!

Strange how these "accidents" happen on a regular basis.

He truly is a goon.

Middlesex have beaten Somerset by eight wickets tonight with 17 balls to spare so the game is now looking a bit more difficult than before.  On paper they look a much better team than the Gloucester team we beat the other night.  Denly made 90 odd, so with him Stirling, Morgan, Malan and Christian they have a few very dangerous batsmen.
